Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

Published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015

Deyongs Ltd is committed to ensuring that our business and supply chain reflects our values and respect for human rights. We take a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.

We will terminate relationships with any third party found to be involved in modern slavery or human trafficking, or which fails to take adequate steps to address such issues within their own operations or supply chains.

Our Organisation & Business

Deyongs Ltd is a leading company in the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of home textiles and furnishing products. We are proud of our heritage and the quality of products we bring to homes across the United Kingdom and beyond.

Our head office is located at Unit 3, Maxted Court, Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP2 7BL.

Our Supply Chains

Our operations and sourcing extend across multiple countries including India, China, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Portugal. Our bed linen is primarily sourced from Pakistan, and our towels from India.

We require all suppliers to hold independent social audit certificates and to demonstrate ongoing compliance with our ethical standards. We conduct regular reviews of our supply chain to identify and mitigate any risks associated with modern slavery.

Our Policies

Our Ethics & Compliance Policy sets out our commitment to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which we operate. This policy applies to all employees, officers, and third parties acting on our behalf.

We are committed to ensuring transparency throughout our organisation and in our approach to tackling modern slavery in our supply chains.

Due Diligence Processes

We have implemented robust due diligence processes to identify, assess, and monitor potential risk areas in our supply chain. Our approach includes:

  • Conducting on-site audits for medium and high risk suppliers
  • Screening for indicators of forced labour and child labour
  • Requiring independent ethical audit certificates from all suppliers
  • Reporting and ceasing business with any supplier found to be in violation of our standards

Training

All relevant personnel are trained to recognise environment, health, safety, and labour concerns including slavery, trafficking, and forced labour. We ensure that our teams understand the signs of exploitation and know how to report any concerns through the appropriate channels.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to develop our practices and policies to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. We measure the effectiveness of our efforts through:

  • Independent ethical audits conducted for every factory in our supply chain
  • Monitoring and enforcing corrective actions arising from audits
  • Gathering feedback and insights from regular factory visits
