Who are Deyongs?

Deyongs is one of the UK's oldest home textiles businesses, trading since 1846. We're a 7th-generation family business run by brothers Daniel and Oliver Deyong, based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. We design and supply premium bedding, towels, throws, cushions, and heated blankets across five brands: Deyongs 1846, The Lyndon Company, Lobster Creek, Cozy Time, and House of Norris.

Where are Deyongs products made?

We work with long-standing partner factories across the UK, Europe, and Asia, chosen for their quality, craftsmanship, and ethical standards. We were one of the first British home textiles businesses to source from Hong Kong and India in the 1960s, and we continue to travel the world to find the best makers for every product we sell.

Orders & Delivery

How long does UK delivery take?

Most UK orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days and delivered within 3–5 working days via our courier partner. You'll receive tracking information by email as soon as your order ships.

Is delivery free?

UK delivery is free on all orders over £50. Below that, a standard delivery charge applies at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to the United Kingdom. We're working on expanding to Europe and other markets — sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know when international delivery goes live.

Can I track my order?

Yes. As soon as your order leaves our warehouse we'll email you a tracking link so you can follow it to your door.

Returns & Exchanges

What's your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day returns policy on unused items in their original packaging. For full details, see our returns policy.

How do I return an item?

Email us at hello@deyongs.com within 30 days of receiving your order and we'll guide you through the process. Please include your order number so we can find your purchase quickly.

Can I exchange a product?

Yes. If the size, colour, or pattern isn't quite right, get in touch and we'll arrange an exchange. Items must be unused and in original packaging.

Products & Care

How do I care for my Deyongs towels?

Most Deyongs towels can be machine-washed at 40°C and tumble-dried on a low heat. For full care instructions, read our guide: How to care for your towels so they last years.

What thread count should I look for in bedding?

Thread count matters, but it's not the whole story. A 200–400 thread count in long-staple cotton will typically feel cooler, softer, and more durable than a high-thread-count blend. See our deeper guide: What thread count actually means (and why it's not everything).

What's the difference between Egyptian cotton and Turkish cotton?

Egyptian cotton has longer fibres that produce a finer, silkier feel, while Turkish cotton is typically quick-drying and slightly more absorbent. Both are excellent; the right choice depends on whether you prioritise softness or absorbency. Read our full comparison: Egyptian vs Turkish cotton.

Are your heated throws safe to sleep under?

Account & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and Klarna (Pay in 3 / Pay later).

Is checkout secure?

Yes. All payments on deyongs.com are processed through Shopify Payments, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

Ordering

Can I cancel my order?

We completely understand — plans change! While we are unable to alter or cancel an order once it has been placed, you can easily exchange for a different style or return for a full refund. Domestic return shipping is free.

What if I want to speak to someone?

We would love to hear from you! Contact us with any questions, concerns, or feedback and we will get back to you within 48 hours. Please note that enquiries sent on Fridays will receive a reply the following Monday.

Shipping & Delivery

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Australia. For enquiries about shipping to other destinations, please contact us.

How long will delivery take?

Standard delivery typically takes 3–5 working days. Next-day delivery is available on all domestic orders for an additional charge. International shipping times vary by destination and are estimated at checkout.

Returns & Refunds

How do I return a product?

Items may be returned within 28 days of receiving your order. Items must be in their original condition — unworn, unused, with all tags attached and in the original packaging. Hygiene exclusion: duvets, pillows, pillow protectors, mattress protectors, and mattress toppers cannot be returned once the sealed packaging has been opened, unless faulty.

How long will my refund take?

Refunds are processed within 7 working days from when we receive the returned item(s). The refund will be returned to your original payment method and may take an additional 3–5 working days to appear on your statement.

Products & Care

How should I care for my towels?

For best results, wash towels at 40°C on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can reduce absorbency. Tumble dry on a low heat or line dry. New towels should be washed before first use to activate maximum absorbency.

What is the difference between GSM weights?

GSM (grams per square metre) indicates towel weight and thickness. 400–500 GSM towels are lightweight and quick-drying — ideal for gym or guest use. 500–600 GSM is our most popular range, offering a perfect balance of softness and absorbency. 600–700+ GSM towels are ultra-luxurious, thick, and plush — the hotel-quality experience.
