Turkish cotton is also a long-staple fibre, typically grown in the Aegean region of Turkey. While not quite as long as Egyptian cotton fibres, Turkish cotton staples are still considerably longer than standard upland cotton, usually measuring 30–36 mm.
The key difference lies in how Turkish cotton towels perform. They tend to be lighter and more airy than their Egyptian counterparts.
